ChapterSpot's Mission

ChapterSpot is a web application that makes it easy for member-based organizations to manage their memberships. There are millions of membership organizations, and many of them are as sophisticated and complex as large companies. However, unlike the big companies, these groups don’t have the same technology, budget, or staffing to help them manage their membership effectively. Our application helps these groups collect their dues, schedule events, launch their website, send out messages, track membership, and much more. Since 2010, we’ve grown to service thousands of groups across the country. It’s our mission to help all types of organizations - from service-based, religious, higher-education clubs and neighborhood associations.

Position Summary

We’re looking to hire a passionate individual as a Summer Intern. The mission of this position is to improve our customer’s satisfaction and experience on ChapterSpot. This position is paid and will last 9 weeks beginning on June 20th, 2016.

Your Mission

The Summer Sales and Specialist Intern will work with multiple teams within ChapterSpot. The position will rotate between our Sales team and Specialist team with the ultimate goal to improve the experience of customers joining our platform. The position will incorporate sales, marketing, operations and customer success.

Your Mission

The Summer Intern must be able to play multiple roles within a given period. Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Assisting in ChapterSpot's sales program both for independent chapters and international organizations
  • Working on marketing campaigns
  • Training new chapters on the program
  • Giving feedback on new features through Q/A
  • Working within a sales pipeline
  • Recording sales interactions using a CRM
  • Documenting different company processes
  • Answering incoming phone calls and placing outbound phone calls
  • Running and managing the company’s support desk as needed, updating the technology of the company’s digital assets such as our blog and generally assisting team members and departments

Education and/or Experience:

Applicants should have the following:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree

  • Proficient writing and communication skills
  • Very personable, maintains a positive and optimistic attitude
  • Very comfortable talking on the phone
  • Competitive; likes challenges

  • Highly detailed and organized
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets
